Buddugoliaeth

Just in case you dont know welsh, that means victory!

Today at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales held of Australia in a great game of rugby to win 21-18. Now im not the biggest Rugby fan (if you compare to my love of Football and F1) but i know when its a good Rugby match! Wales were brilliant with Shane Williams and Lee Byrne the stars.

Great day for the Welsh (and me) because it ended a 12 year barren run againts Southern Hemisphere teams.

Get In Wales!!!

My Top Three...

Albums!

Yes i know it has been some time since i last posted (this was pointed out to me by a follower of the Blog on Friday...he will remain un-named...he was a good man), so with very little to rant about (well at least to the world) i felt i wanted to talk about my three favourite music albums.

1.Def Leppard - Hysteria
Big, Bold and 80's, Hysteria is in my opinion the ultimate 1980's Metal experience. Def Leppard may have helped shape the 'Hair Metal' scene but there is nothing embarrising about this album (ok...maybe the Hair). Songs like Pour Some Sugar On Me, Animal and Rocket are big rock anthems whilst tracks like Love Bites and Love & Affection show how well Def Leppard do 'Slow'. This is my favourite album of all time!

2.My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE ARE NOT EMO. Just to get that out of the way, they do not endorse self harm and emo stuff but are a bloody good rock band (sorry if that offended you...you can talk to my agent). The Black Parade is a modern rock classic which takes influences from Queen, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Smashing Pumpkins and good old 70's rock. Emotion runs high in the classic Welcome To The Black Parade and the album screams of 70's on the rocky Dead. This album shows that rock and roll is not dead and that modern bands are not afraid not tribute there heroes.

3.Keith Urban - Love, Pain & The Whole Crazy Thing
A change in mood here. Keith Urban is apart from being known as the husband of Nicole Kidman is a Damn good Country Singer, Guitarist, Bass Guitarist, Drummer, Banjoist, Ganjoist, Mandolinist and Bouzoukist. LPWCT is one heck of a album, from start to finnish it is musicaly brilliant, written beautifuly and produced beyond belief. Country may be seen as old but Country now is rocking and Keith Urban is perhaps the best song writer at the moment. There are so many good tracks on the album Once In A Lifetime, Shine, I Told You So, Faster Car, Everybody, Got It RIght This Time and my personal Favourite Stupid Boy. Lewis Hamilton...WORLD CHAMPION

It seems as though we have been waiting for ever despite Lewis Hamilton only being in his second season of Formula One, and he has already been crowned World Champion!

What a brilliant achievement for one of the best young drivers around today. He did however make life for every one in the country just a little bit harder when with a few laps to go he lost the all important 5th place which was all he needed to win the championship. As Massa crossed the line to win the Brazilian Grand Prix it looked as though he would become to first Brazilian champion since the late great Ayrton Senna, but with only two corners to go Timo Glock slowed in the wet conditions and that allowed Hamilton to take back 5th place and the World Championship!

It has been a vintage year for Grand Prix racing with a host of great races (including Brazil) and a frantic tense fight for Motorsports greatest prize.

In the end the right man won, despite making as many mistakes as Massa throughout the season Lewis Hamilton showed at many points throught out the season that he is a worthy champion and none more then his stunning drive in awful conditions at Silverstone.

Will 2009 be a walk over for Lewis? I doubt it...but until the lights go off at the start in Australia we can bask in the glory of Lewis Hamilton and know that the stewards will not take this away from him.

WELL DONE LEWIS!!!
