Chandler's Britain Campaign For Respect

As was pointed out to me a few days ago, it has been a very long time since i last posted and as i sit at the computer listening to Spotify, the urge to post and rant has returned!

I may only be 19 but certian things annoy me about people my age, We as a generation have a tendancy to swear out loud in public, we get drunk till the cows come home, we have sex with as many people as we can before the age of 23 and we most certianly have to have used a fake I.D at some point in our life!

Why? All that i have said is basicaly the result of a lack of respect that has developed for our country and authority. For some reason we now dont care about important things but spend our money on Drink and we look out for the cheapest and stupid (Stupid because they allow under age) Pubs and clubs. I feel sorry for owners of pubs and barmen and women, some of the girls these days could be 21 when in fact they are actually 15...Its just all wrong!

So what am i getting at? Respect needs to be found again and quickly! We do not need to swear out in the streets because guess what there is a thing called the English Language and it has a thousand different words that we can use! Getting drunk? its apparently a away to losen up? well you can have fun without forgetting the night before and ending up in someplace you have never seen!

We need to respect our Country, Life, Body and Authority because without them everything would suck alot!

Can The Season End Now?

Every year since i became a proper die-hard Spurs fan (2002-2003) most seasons have started with high expectations and followed by a season of disappointment, with a sacked manager and a new cause for optimism with a new manager and new players. Last season was very much the same with Juande Ramos being awful and King 'Arry being appointed, and since then we have been on the up.

Would this season be the same? No is the great big fat answer the Spurs players gave us with a A-MAZ-ING win over Liverpool (we out played them) and then thrashing Hull 5-1! What a Start!

After two games (yes i know its only two) we have 6 points...it took us until October to do that last season and we lead the League! TOTTENHAM LEAD THE LEAGUE! Can we break into the top four this season? I'm not sure but i reckon a fantastic season is ahead of us!

Glory, Glory Tottenham Hotspur!

It Begins (Again!!!)

After a summer of waiting and expectation the new premier league season starts tomorrow. Will Manchester United miss Ronaldo (yes), will arsenal fall even further behind the leading teams (Yes) and will Tottenham continue to frustrate yet improve (YES!..possibly).

This is what makes football so amazing, the emotion, the intensity of a derby match, the banter, the rumours, this is what football is about and for fans of Manchester City it means they finaly find out how badly buying so many good players and expecting them to play as a team will fail!

How will City do? i expect they will finnish in the top 5 at least, they may struggle but they have the money and so in january if it is not working they can buy a Xavi or Iniesta.

Personaly i can see Chelsea winning the league this year, a good manager and without the loss of a key player such as Ronaldo and Tevez for Manchester United and Xavi Alonso for Liverpool will help them and also a team that bar a few players is basicaly the same that won the F.A Cup last season.

So here are my predictions (They will be wrong but oh well)

Champions - Chelsea

League Cup - West Ham United

F.A Cup - Tottenham Hotspur

Champions League - Real Madrid

Europa League - Who Cares! (SV Werder Bremen!)

European Qualifying Places

1st. Chelsea

2nd. Manchester United

3rd. Liverpool

4th. Manchester City (Possibly)

5th. Arsenal

6th. Everton

7th. Tottenham Hotspur

Relegated - Birmingham, Hull, Wolves

Promoted - Cardiff, Middlesbrough, West Brom

Quite possibly every single prediction i have made will prove to be wrong but if im right i can bask in a glory that no one cares about!

Beauty? Its On The Inside!

A couple of days ago i had a massive feeling of ranting building up inside of me, i seem to remember getting worked up about the general feeling of if your not beautiful you will get no where in life. Now i cant for the life of me think why i had to rant about it or why it even crossed my mind? Maybe i saw a model on TV... but thinking about it more it does seem very un-fair and also not true.

Take school, most of the time the most popular people at school are either the most confident people or the most beautiful, this is not always the case but you usually find a popular person with one of those attributes (sometimes you find a popular person who is beautiful, confident and has a very squeaky voice...they may be attractive but also very annoying) and of course they have the biggest number of 'friends' on Facebook and also manage to make fake Id's work better then anyone else but this is not a passport to a great and happy life.

I was not a popular person at school and i was not friends with any of the popular people, but i had my group of friends and i treasured them! I don't care if they are beautiful, confident, have an annoying voice and are good at sports (that was another thing that made you popular...cant see Tim Henman being popular at school but anyway) they were my friends because they liked me for who i was and i liked them for who there were (plus they paid me....sorry bad joke) and thanks to them i have friends for life, and i know for a fact i will not fall out because i have the same shirt or have the same girlfriend!

I was also going to go on and on and on about celebrities but i think i have made my point, we obviously can look good, and its good when we do, but being 'beautiful' does not mean success in life, however it can mean having loads of annoying, screaming, squeaky voice girls running after you at a concert and rolling about on the hood of Whitesnakes car....what a life.

(I do actually like Whitesnake, but having a girl on the bonnet would either damage the paint work or fall off and sue you!)

The Transfer Market Has Gone Crazy

I remember sitting here a couple of weeks ago thinking that the usual rush of early purchases by Football Clubs. Usualy there is a couple of big name buys early on and a few random players who no one has ever heard of.

But now it has all kicked off in a big way and its not (or wasent at least) Manchester City leading the way. Real Madrid not happy with breaking the world transfer record after buy Kaka, destroyed there own record by buying Cristiano Ronaldo for £80,000,000! Personaly that for me is a bit much for a player who spends most of his time rolling around on the floor crying then just to be even more annoying scores a few goals along the way.

Not happy with this either Real have also signed (using slightly more humain money) Raul Albiol (A promising looking defender from Valencia) and Karim Benzema, a target for Manchester United (HAHAHA!).

Back in England Manchester City signed Gareth Barry and Roque Santa Cruz, and now Carlos Tevez and are expected to sign Emmanuel Adebayor (Who i think is a waste of space on any football pitch). Two players who could have been on there way to Spurs, Barry and Santa Cruz just incase you hadnt realised, sadly when to the new mega force in football.

In recent days Spurs have been linking with young defenders Kyle Walker and Kyle Naughton and ex Arsenal Patirck Viera...now the transfer market has gone really crazy!

2009 So Far

As i sit here on the 15th of July 2009, i have been thinking about the year so far.

Obviously this year has been dominated by going on's down Whitehall and the Houses of Parliament. Having not been blessed with glory when the Credit Crunch then Recession hit us at the end of 2008, our trust and faith in Parliament was rocked when the Expenses Scandal hit us and shocked us.

When it was discovered that politicians had used tax-payers money for second homes, dodgy DVD's, Moat Cleaning and a Duck island/home everyone was outraged, and with voting for the European elections around the corner this heavily influenced the mind set of the voting British public.

Despite MP's pledging to pay back around £100,000, and admitting to taking advantage of the expense's system, i believe that for most people the damage is done and it will take alot of work and maybe a goverment who know what they are doing to repair the damage.

At least we have the legend that is Boris Johnson as Mayor Of London, he may be a wally but he is a 100% golden legend!

Proud To Be British

Having recently finished reading 'The Heart Of The Dales' by Gervase Phinn i was empty, i needed a book to fill the hole that had been left, so i picked up 'I Know You Got Soul' by Jeremy Clarkson, and what an interesting book it is!

So far i have read about the AK47, The Graf Zeppelin, Concorde and many other great and sometimes deadly machines that Jeremy Clarkson believes are more then just the work of some engineers.

One story that fully captivated me was the building and creation of the SS Great Britain, but more importantly the story of its creator...Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Brunel was born in Portsmouth on the 9th of April 1806 to Marc Isambard Brunel and Sophia Kingdom, as you can see his parents where original types so used there names for there son that would become one of the greatest engineers of all time and a man who was voted as the second greatest Britain in the BBC's public poll in 2002.

Brunel at the age of 20 was appointed chief assistant engineer of his fathers great project, The Themes Tunnel, which would go on and become the first tunnel to be built under water. Brunel's father had created a system for tunnels that is still used to day, most notably the Channel Tunnel.

Not only this, Isambard engineerd the Clifton Suspension Bridge, The Royal Albert Bridge, The Great Western Railway (GWR) and also spent a hell of alot of time and effort (ultimately unsuccessful) in the creation of the 'Atmospheric Railway' a idea that used vacuums and leather pulleys to power the trains.

However perhaps his most advanced creation was the SS Great Britain. The SS a unit of the Great Western Steamship Company. The SS was the first ocean going ship to combine the being built in Iron and using a screw propeller. When launched in 1843, she was the largest ocean going ship at the time, and perhaps also one of the most flawed.

It was not the quickest, the most comfortable or financially viable ship ever built. One ship that was built managed the journey from the UK to New York in an incredible 15 days, for me and for that time i find that amazing! But sadly the SS didn't manage as quickly.

After the SS had ended life as a ocean going ship, it was used between 1855 and 1858 as a troopship during the Crimean War and the Indian Mutiny. Sadly during its next use as a cargo ship for coal it was damaged almost beyond repair after a fire whipped through the ship. It was bought by the Falklands Island Company and used as a coal bunker until 1937, when it was towed to Sparrow Cove and left to rot.

Thankfully after many years of Restoration it is open to visitors down in the docks in Bristol, and visitors can marvel at the plain amazingness of a ship built by one of the greatest Britain's to have lived and a ship that was so many years ahead of its time!

If you ever thought history was boring...then think, how did we get to where we are today?

Chandler's Britain

With the country i love in a shocking state, the current generation showing no respect to our monarchy and the increasing influx of really, really, really awful Asia made cars (Protons, Nissan's etc) i have decided to plan ahead so that if i ever come in to power i can make a difference!

Law 1 - Reality TV shows such as Britain's Got Talent, X Factor and Big Brother would be outlawed, presenter Divina Mccall would be forced to wear a dunce hat and Simon Cowell would be forced to sit through 100 hours of Motley Crue, Poison and Cinderella concerts.

Law 2 - The mood 'Stress' would be illegal if the person in question was found to be stressed for unlawful reasons such as being stressed because the word 'exam' was mentioned and being stressed just because your friends are stressed

Law 3 - In no way are people allowed to drive the Nissan Cube, the Nissan Denke Cube or its fellow associates.

Law 4 - The added test of doing Motorway driving would have to be undertaken before you can legally be allowed to drive, the point that learning to drive is stressful (see Law 2) and that motorway driving is also stressful leads me to two points...one get it over with in one go and secondly get over it!

Law 5 - Hillsong will be re-named Billsong and all bills and all expenses shall be sent to Billsong London, Sydney, Kiev etc, as they seem to have lots of money and it would be a great way to serve the country.

I'm sure there will be many other laws but for the moment take these in, and once again if you have any objections to these please, please, please, please, please keep them to yourself!

Why Dont We Just Talk?

Why Don't We Just Talk? Deep isn't it? And i seriously mean why don't we? Everything now is "I will Facebook you" or "We will arrange it through Facebook", Me and my friends are trying to organise a holiday in the summer (I say try...a group of Chimpanzee's could do a Hell of a lot better) and instead of phoning around people are desperatly trying to get people to reply to there message as if its the only way Human Beings can communicate now!

I fully appreciate and support the fact that things like Facebook are great for keeping in touch but does it really replace what is commonly known as a friendship? The answer to that my friends (is not blowing in the wind) but a big fat NO!

If you try to arrange something at short notice on Facebook, as sometimes happens...it is more then possible that one or two persons (one being more often then not me!) will not get the message or invite until after the event of the forseable future has happened...thus making the person (me again...hello!) extremely annoyed!

The spoken word is a powerfull thing, so why do we not embrace this gift?

We really should!

Return Of The Rantman!

And i make my long awaited return...i know its been far too long for the two avid readers of this blog and i apologize!

So this will be one of those amazing events that happen usually only twice in your life...think of it like buying your first car and then also dancing the night away at your own wedding, this my friends is a MEGA-blog!

I spent the weekend with my friend at his uni (which happens to be Downing College...yes that is part of the University of Cambridge) and as well as having a good time, enjoying the nice weather and realising that i have become ridiculously vain was left thinking what gets you to Cambridge? Now i have been twice before and have just thought that its because you are amazingly clever...now this may be the case on the outside but on the inside it becomes less transparent. I mean is it the type of person you are? or maybe just how hard you work?

There isn't a typical Cambridge person, there isn't a typical Oxford, or Bath or Cardiff person its the person you are that gets you to Cambridge. As well as being very clever, you have to put the work in at school to get the grades and if you find that easy well two finger salute to you but i don't think its fair to say that only Private school Men and Women get there, during my time i have spent there i have seen what is classed i think as labeling, what i mean is emo's, goths, indie, punk, normal, posh and girls. Now you may think this is irrelevant but there is not a Cambridge person...there is variety and i think that is fantastic!

Moving on from that rant/social review a CD review!

A bit back i talked about how my eyes had been opened to the genre of music called R&B, thanks to the work of Timbaland with ex Soundgarden and Audioslave singer Chris Cornell and having constantly used Youtube to listen to some of his songs i dug deep into my pocket and spent however much it was to buy Chris Cornell's latest album 'Scream'

For Soundgarden and Audioslave fans it was heresy that Chris Cornell would even speak to Timbaland but i honestly feel that Chris Cornell has made the right move! Music should not be genre orientated but dictated by the mood the singer/band is in.

Cornell wanted to try something different and the album cover shows this is no uncertain terms. Cornell jumping and smashing a guitar...he wants to try something different!

The album is defiantly a album by one of the main movers from the 90's Grunge scene, dark lyrics and his almost hypnotic vocals make the album a mash of Grunge, Pop, R&B and Psychedelic. Highlights include the dance floor groove of 'Part Of Me' with its brilliant chorus "that bitch ain't a part of me", the gentle ballad 'Long Gone' and the funky 'Ground Zero'. For me this is a highlight in a year that has disappointed on the music front.

Thanks for reading my MEGA-blog...im off to rest my fingers!

Back in the darkest depths of the end of 2008, things were looking very bad for Spurs and this post is aimed at all of you who found it funny that Spurs were bottom of the league and for those who said Spurs would be relegated...

Let me just refresh your memories to my response then

"This goes out to everyone who thinks it is funny that Tottenham Hotspur are bottom of the league...WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE RELEGATED!!!"

I know the season is yet to finnish...but i have this to say...I TOLD YOU SO!!!

Technology

PS3's, X-Box 360, I-Phones, Apple Macs...all the latest in a world were technology has taken over, and has created a world that when technology doesn't work we either fall to pieces or just get plain stressed...i fall in to the second category!

Now i don't have a PS3 or a I-Phone but what i (as a family) have is a computer, to be precise a Sony and Samsung thing...no idea what it is to be honest. Pupils of St Georges School know all about stupidly slow computers but will not have experienced the enigma that is the Chandler family computer.

One trick it loves to play is a little game called 'How quickly can we make Andrew scream and shout' every time it wins the battle between Man and Machine and creates a less green version of the Incredible Hulk! It is just so damn slow, and now has decided that for some reason will turn off occasionally without any reason or preparation...basically if your working on something and you don't saved you are S.C.R.E.W.E.D, and can be found running around the Hertfordshire country side looking for a ring that can become your precious.

I thought Technology was supposed to make our lives better, well the TV in the kitchen is dying, our Telephone set i think has died and our computer I'm sure is possessed by a Demon (just like all Dogs are!).

To Dream The Once Impossible Dream!

Tottenham Hotspur in europe next season? It is something i thought would not be possible at Christmas!

However the fighters of White Hart Lane have turned a relegation scrap in to a fight for a place in the Europa League (Uefa Cup), And although i am taking nothing for granted, i am very confident that we can finnish in the 7th place.

Basicaly, Manchester United (grr), Chelsea, Aresnal and Everton are in the Semi-Finals of the F.A Cup, and because they are all in European qualification places a extra spot is up for grabs on the grounds that however gets to the F.A Cup final is given a place in europe.

This is the table around 7th at the moment.

5. Aston Villa - 53

6. Everton - 52

7. West Ham - 44

8. Fulham - 43

9. Tottenham Hotspur - 41

10.Wigan - 41

11.Manchester City - 38

We are three points behind that crucial 7th place, and who would have thought that after suffering our worst start to a season since the Titanic sunk!

17 Again

Today is an important day in blog land...my first film review!
(insert cheering, clapping, all round happiness here)

This afternoon along with leaders and members of the youth group from my church we all went for an outing to Luton to go for a cinema trip.
Because of the age of the group, the film had to be age appropriate. I had horrible visions of sitting through the Hanna Montana Movie (She has the best of both worlds...but now she has to chose one...what will she do???) or Marley and Me, which as far as i can see is about a Dog that both Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston both love...great story!
However after much thought (there really was not much on) we decided to go and watch Zac Efron's new film 17 Again (this is not strictly true, two guys went to see Alien & Monsters 3D).
The film on first thoughts, was pretty boring, but if you look deeper there are some very good performances in it...for example Zac Efron.

It hurts me to say this, but he was brilliant in it as was his flat mate and 'dad' Thomas Lennon.
The film basicaly is about a guy called Mike who wishes his life was better and that he could go through his youth again, somehow, and im not sure how, because he falls in to a river he becomes 17 again (hence the film name!), and trys to make up for mistakes he made. He does and he is 17 again.
Its not going to win any awards, and its not in my list of favourite films ever, but looking back on it...its a good family film and a good way to spend a horribly wet and damp day in luton.

And by the way...Zac Efron...SO good at basketball!

Comming Soon!

As i struggle to write decent song lyrics, i have been thinking...what are the perfect lyrics?

In my eyes the perfect lyrics should combine story telling, love, passion, emotion, the ability to take the song from one level to another, to capture the listerner in the world of the singer or song writer! Lyrics are amazing things!

I hope to go into more detail about this but i will just give you a list of a few songs that i feel have hit that benchmark...the perfect lyrics!

Also check out a song called 'Accidents' that is one of my songs!

And So It Begins (Again!)

The ever on going war between me and Nissan took a violent turn yesterday when i found that there is to be a Nissan Cube 2009.

AGGGGGH do people never learn? The Nissan Cube was horrid, the Nissan Denki Cube was horrid and guess what...the Nissan Cube 2009 is also horrid!

Did you ever read the magazine The Dandy? There was a character called Desperate Dan and the 2009 Cube looks like a car version of him. Look at it, it has a sticking out chin and is just a block of stuff. To be fair it is no longer a Cube, but still there attempts to add curves has failed!

The review of the car called it "a funky car". It has about as much Funk in it as Gorden Brown!

http://jalopnik.com/5093250/2009-nissan-cube-revealed

There also appears to be a Nissan Cube 2010...Why does life suck so much that they have to carry on bringing out new ones? We dont need another one!

I quote the designer "If cars could talk, Cube would be likely to say, ‘Nice to meet you'"...I know what i would say to it...

The Stalkers Commeth

I find it amazing how things can change in a short amount of time. In between going out for various exploits that included being hit very hard in the stomach, wearing a hoodie backwards and trying very unsuccessfully to explaining why there is suffering in the world i have found that Facebook has changed (AGAIN!)

The first thing that comes to mind is why? But for me the most important thing is why has it become a way of stalking your friends? I logged on and could recite (if i was sad enough to read it all) what a friend had written on another friends wall! Why is it any of my business, and also why do the people at Facebook think that we want to know about others private conversations?

I know i have descended back into rants but this really has got under my skin! I had been thinking about leaving but this may well just make my choice easier.

Short rant but i think it gets the point across!

Lets hope that i can re-enter the world of Sunshine and general niceness next time!

God Bless Nice People!

A little bit of kindness goes along way but so does generally being nice.

I have just had one of the nicest conversations on Facebook that i have had for ages, actually one of the nicest conversations i have had in general for a long time!

its amazing how a person, who is obviously very nice can appear to be up for a chat at anytime. There was no forced on act, it was generally a kind, fun and pleasurable chat.

This has really made me feel a whole lot better!

God bless nice people!

It Needs Respect!

Fresh from my spontaneous blogging last night i decided to give this post a bit of a thought and see how this compares...i fear that this tactic is not only more sensible but easier, so although doing things spontaneously sounds fun (apart from spontaneous combustion or spontaneous pneumothorax) to write a sensible and readable blog...giving the post some thought may be a good idea!

Anyway, the FA Cup as we all know (should know anyway) is the biggest cup competition in the world and i fear it is being forced to lose its importance.

This year Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton and Arsenal/Hull (i cant see Hull beating Arsenal...but this is the cup) are through to the semi finals. Last season West Brom, Portsmouth, Cardiff and Barnsley played in the semi finals. Last season was the Cup at its best, this season very much at its worst.

With Manchester United seemingly able to field a team consisting of the lady who cleans the kitchens or the grounds keeper and still win and Arsenal who seem to be able to do anything despite having a awful season and basicaly not being anyway near a League winning side i suspect that the FA Cup semi finals will be turned into a runout for the young players, B Teams if u like...Now for me that is disgusting. Would they do that for the Champions League, the answer is no.

Football has become a world of greed and has lost any tradition that it had. Despite my hate for Everton (dont ask me why) i hope they win, to show that the FA Cup still has some of the dream and class that the Cup used to have.

Saying that, if a team who is in a Champions league position wins then a extra place for the re-named Europa League opens up. Can i see Tottenham back in europe against the odds? CMON YOU SPURS!

Be Who You Are!

Before i start i applogise if this blog feels kinda stop-start. I have decided to take the leap into spontaneous blogging, and so basicaly am making up what i want to say as i write, i am interested to see how this pans out!

Basicaly i have realised something. There is no point trying to wish yourself to be someone else. I have always wanted to be someone else, a football player scoring the winning goal for Tottenham in the FA Cup final or basicaly being Keith Urban. But although this may seem very obvious, i have realised that sometimes dreams are bigger then the person who is dreaming...and i mean a whole lot bigger!

So how can i sum myself up? I am a 19 year old, Patrotic, Royalist, Dyslexic, Easily Irritable citizen of the United Kingdom. I am a lover of music, good song writting and musical skill. I have two guitars at home but cant play either and spend my time trying to be the next man to lead Tottenham to the title or the first guy to win all the grand prix in one F1 season. This is who i am.

This may seem depressing...and then there is the thing about Dreams. Yes we can dream and we can try to be someone else, but in the end God has made us how he wants us and it is up to us to make use of the life he has given us.

Can i be Keith Urban? No! Can i be a footballer? No! Can i be the richest man in the world? (maybe...ok probs not) but who can i be? I can be myself...Andrew Chandler and you can be yourself!

I hope this has not come across as a cheesy call to arms in these dark times...if it has say so and spontaneous blogging for me will be a part of the past.

Peace!

Open Up Your Mind

Havent posted on here for a while, but im back so you dont have to fret! Its so nice to look out the window and not see Snow or Grey skys. Today its bright with a hint of sun and its a decent temperature.

But that is not what i wanted to talk about. Yesterday i spent the whole day, when ever i listernd to music, listering to various R&B songs. Music from The Pussycat Dolls, Chris Brown, Justin Timerbake and even a bit of Rhianna. But it is the work of Timbaland that has interested me.

I first came across Timbaland with his amusing "Yeah" and "Take it to the chorus" from Justin Timberlakes 'Sexy back' (a brilliant song!) and now seems to be everwhere. Having made the One Republic song 'Apologize' (another brilliant song) very famous he has worked with artists such as Sean Paul, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Flo Rida and even Duran Duran.

However it is his latest work with Chris Cornell that has inspired me. Chris Cornell is one of the god's of grunge. His band Soundgarden were one of the big four grunge bands along with Alice In Chains, Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Cornell has embraced Alternative Rock, Hard Rock, Grunge, Post-Grunge and even Psychedelic pop, and now with the help from Timbaland will relase an album heavily influenced by R&B in march.

I personaly find it refreshing when an artist of Chris Cornells talent embraces new styles of music. Obviously it would be weird/awful if Iron Maiden did R&B or Coldplay did Heavy Metal but for someone like Chris Cornell who can flirt with different genres i really do respect him. He has been critiscised by hardcore Soundgarden and Audioslave fans but music is not about genre its about feeling and influences. Some of the new album can be heard on youtube and despite them being definitely R&B this is not a sell out. Chris Cornell is still very much part of the songs, his very strong voice lifts the songs and with the help of guitars and wonderful production a couple still have his early sound in them.

Timbaland has helped Chris Cornell embrace R&B whilst still sounding very much like the man who sang 'Black Hole Sun', 'Jesus Christ Pose', 'Cochise' and a very good remake of 'Bille Jean'. This is not a review of the album as it has not come out yet, its a tribute to a man who is very willing to take on new types of music.

If i could work with famous people from the music business i would love to work with Elton John, Keith Urban and Timbaland. And if i had to pick a lead singer for my dream band, Chris Cornell all the way.

Finally, as i said music is not about genre its about feeling and influence. Being stuck to one genre is not only boring but single minded. Obviously you can have a favourite genre but dont shut off other music...you will be a lesser person for it.

Do I Hear £14 Million?

So its that wonderful time again, the last day of the transfer market. I love deadline day with all the rumours going round the houses.

The biggest rumour so far is that Robbie Keane is having a medical at Spurs!

Wow Jermaine Defoe, Pascal Chimbonda and now Robbie Keane its like....well last season all over again!

Two other things Jermaine Jenas may be going to Inter Milan in exchange for Quaresma (Please let that happen) and we said no to the exchange of Oberfemi Martins for Darrent Bent...WHY!?!

Common Sense Prevails!

Woke up this morning to the news that Kaka will be staying at AC Milan. All i can say is, Mr Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite (aka Kaka) well done!

Kaka has done something that has become so rare in the modern game, and shun money for football. Obviously so so happy at AC Milan he already earns a hell lot of money and realises that to be happy he doesnt need any more.

Kaka has always been in my eyes the best footballer in the world...way better then Mrs 'I cry alot' Ronaldo, and because he is staying at AC Milan, he has proven this!

Great Idea...NOT!

Saw on the news earlier that between junctions 23 to 25 on the M25, they are going to open up the hard shoulder to trafic to beat peak time congestion.

WHAT A STUPID IDEA! Not only have the government decided that mp's can not vote on the issue of a new runway at Heathrow airport, but they have basicaly made that stretch of motorway a death trap.

The idea is also being carried out on other motorways around the country and is apparently a better idea then making the motorways wider.

So it charges us more tax, but that is better then causing more accidents?

look at it like this, if you brake down you pull on to the hard shoulder to get out of the way of traffic on the motorway and also it is the only option you have. Now say you brake down and it is open to traffic? Pile ups could happen so easily and also how will Ambulances and Police cars get through the traffic?

This is just another case of the government not thinking correct...what do we have to do to get clever people running our country?

Oklahoma Has Talent!

The list of reality tv shows in Britian trying to find the next 'big thing' goes on and on and often, well all the time in fact they find someone who is crap and releases just one album. But across the pond it is a different matter.

Where as Pop Idol became the X Factor, American Idol continues to be strong, and manages to find actual Talent. Jordin Sparks, Chris Daughtry and Kelly Clarkson have all come from American Idol but one person that kicks Leona Lewis in the teeth is Carrie Underwood.

Carrie Underwood won the forth season of American Idol and has one hell of a voice! Carrie is from that vast and wonderful genre called country music (which i love) and can hold her own on a typical country rocker or a big powerful ballad.

This song is called 'So Small'...I was blown away when i heard it!

Who's Up For Coffee?

Picture this, you are meeting up with a friend and you decide to go to Cafe Nero. When you get there you want to get a Coffee/Tea, sit down, chat about the world and relax. But no, you get bombarded with every made up word under the sun! I just want a regular Tea/Coffee with no stress and no strings attached.

And what is the deal with One shot or Two shots? Apparently it makes the drink stronger but why give it all confusing names?

It just annoys me that what should be a nice relaxing experiance has turned into a massive military opperation!

Right rant over...i feel like a cup of tea!

Welcome To 2009.....Oh Great!

Happy New Year!

Those three words are used so automaticaly. I mean do we really mean it? As i look outside it is Cold, Wet, Snowy and Horrid.

I look very much foward to 2009, but does it have to be so cold? I used to love Winter but now, as i said i find it Too Cold, Wet and Annoying.

Who finds having to wrap up warm, putting on layers of coats and jumpers, making sure that everything is tucked in, putting on a scarf that either strangles you or itches you to find that you have to take most of it off so you can make sure your wrists dont get cold when you gloves dont fill the newly created void between you gloves and coat, fun?

I dont, i think it is a pain to be honest. And then there is Snow!

When you are young Snow can do nothing wrong. It could come up to you knock you over, tie you shoe laces together and run of like a spastic Lamb, spitting everywere and still be fantastically funny. But now i just feel like ripping off my shirt, all Hulk like and beating the living day lights out of it. I find it so annoying and then Slush....Dont get me started.

Well that is the first rant of 2009 over with...Onwards and upwards!
